Antivirus Test
Have you ever wondered if your antivirus software was really working? Well so has the European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research (EICAR), which is why they created a standard antivirus testing file. The file can be run by Microsoft operating systems except for 64-bit versions. To see your antivirus in action open Notepad and type or paste in: X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*
Then save the file as eicar.com
Almost immediately you should see a message from your virus program that says something to the effect of "Blocked EICAR test string. Your computer is secure." Even if you are sure that your virus program is working, seeing this message fills you with a great sense of confidence and security, so I recommend trying it just for this reason.
THIS FILE WILL NOT, I REPEAT WILL NOT HARM YOUR COMPUTER IN ANY WAY. IT IS NOT A VIRUS IT IS ONLY A TEST FILE. DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. GOOGLE EICAR TEST AND READ UP ON IT YOURSELF.

<3 your site!!
